A degree or a PhD means nothing to me based on my life experience consulting with the so called "experts" who have degrees.

It is very important to get educated on your own and those who do have degrees that know what they are doing are few and far between.

I am pretty impressed with some people who are very learned in nutrition and their degree relates to other things and nothing to do with nutrition.

Birds of a feather flock together. So, I tend to gravitate toward those who know what they are talking about more so than worry about their credentials.

Educated people make educated decisions, regardless of societies idea of status.

Besides, I read the state accredited nutrition books that are sponsored by the meat and dairy industry, which is corrupt in of itself with all of the hormones, antibiotics and chemicals they feed our food supply which cause human health problems. I've seen it in print, that they say Aspartame is OK, when it is the number 1 complaint to the FDA for adverse reactions.

Corporations only care about their margin line and stocks, not your health. They have everything to do with what information is passed onto professional state accredited nutritionists, even if its mis information.

So, degrees don't impress me. People with accurate knowledge and a passion for making the world a better place impress me.

Typically you need to be ACE Nasm or obtain some other certification that is recognized by the health industry to be taken seriously. Having the certification "validates" that you know what your talking about. Without it, its just another opinion

The most effective way to lose weight is to try a safe diet pill which works well in conjunction to a healthy diet and regular exercise. If you are looking to take a pill and lose weight it’s impossible. What you need to do is workout for 2-3 months and other cardio exercises while eating healthy small portion meals, then when you feel you have hit a wall, then take a diet pill and it will put you into overdrive. But when you’re ready to take the diet pill I would suggest and appetite suppressant like phentramin-d: http://www.phentramin-d-reviews.com/

Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.

Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It's an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace.com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that your diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It's really great to stop food cravings.

Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Don't worry about special diets and fads- look or something that can have you consistantly and suistainably losing fat.

Losing 1-2lbs a week is the best way to go. This way, you are losing mostly fat, rather than water and muscle. Faster weight loss is not better, nor is it sustainable.

Diet should be what you look at first for weight loss- this is what will enable you to drop fat. Try a balanced diet made up of mostly natural whole foods, with high protein, moderate carbs and moderate fats.

You need to know how many calories you burn- you can use an online calculator for a rough estimate. Aim for 10-20% calories fewer than you burn daily (too large a deficit will be counterproductive in the longer term).

Don't worry about complicated diets or cutting things out. You can enjoy anything in moderation, as long as the majority of your diet is healthy.

Base your meals around:

Lean protein (e.g. chicken, tuna, lean beef, fat-free cottage cheese, egg whites)
Wholegrains (e.g. wholewheat bread, oats, bran cereals, rice)
Healthy fats (e.g. nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado, salmon, whole eggs, flaxseed)
Fruit and veg

And drink lots of water.

Second in importance to diet, is heavy resistance training- this is what will allow you to preserve muscle so you look 'toned' and defined once you've dropped the fat (rather than just a smaller version of how you look now, with the same bits you're unhappy with). More muscle also means a higher metabolism, so you definitely want to hold on to, or increase the muscle base you have, for fat loss.

You need to work ALL your major muscle groups- you can't spot reduce.

Then you can look at extras like cardio to help create a calorie deficit. But cardio is by far the least important of these three, and you can lose fat effectively without it.

Make sure you're getting at least one rest day a week with no exercise at all.
